Happy Independence Day

Today we celebrate the 114th Independence Day of the Philippines. 114 years ago, General Emilio Aguinaldo hoisted the Philippine flag over the balcony of his home in Cavite and the Marcha Nacional was played by the local band. 114 years later, The Philippines is still enjoying its hard-earned freedom but have yet to fully enjoy the fruits of democracy such as economic progress and political stability. There are many ways of celebrating it. What we did was to paint our face with the colors of the Philippine flag.

The Philippine flag by the way is the only flag in the world that can denote whether the country is at war or at peace.

Happy Independence Day!
