Firmes en la Fe: Firm in the Faith - The WYD in Manila
The 2011 World Youth Day has finished already in Madrid, Spain. The next WYD in 2013 will be in Brazil. While millions of young people from all over the world gathered in Spain to celebrate the Universality of the Catholic Church with the Pope, Manila also celebrated World Youth Day at the Ateneo de Manila University to be one with fellow young Catholics. Manila once hosted the World Youth Day in 1995 during the papacy of Blessed Pope John Paul II. During that WYD, 4 million people were estimated to have attended the concluding mass at the Luneta Park, the biggest gathering ever for any papal event.
