What Is A Doctor To The Barrios?
A few days ago, I was invited by my alma mater to give a Career Talk. After some reflection, I ended up making this slide which I presented to the high school kids.
My stint as a Doctor to the Barrios has ended, and right now I am in a transition. This hiatus is allowing me to make another important decision in life. Here I am between the door of Janus himself, with my legs straddling the threshold. Whatever choice I will make, I am grateful for the DTTB experience. It has made me a much better doctor I think.
I will never forget the people, places and events in my life as a DTTB. It is true what they say, "Once a DTTB, always a DTTB".
