Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao
I am currently writing this blog while staying in Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, obviously here in Davao City. I am here for a 2-day orientation workshop for Zuellig Family Foundation together with municipal mayors and municipal health officers of at least 8 municipalities from the ARMM. A partnership is being forged between ZFF and ARMM with DOH-ARMM in order to improve health outcomes of ARMM municipalities. I have been to Davao many times in the past but it is my first time to stay here in the Waterfront Insular Hotel.
The Waterfront Insular Hotel is actually 15 minutes away from the Davao International Airport. One can arrange a hotel van to pick you up at the airport. According to Hotel Information, the Waterfront Insular Hotel is comprised of at least 4 low-rise buildings of around 150 guest rooms and suites. In every guest room there is a flat screen TV with cable, a mini-bar and 24-hour room service. There are at least 50 standard rooms, 24 superior rooms, 75 deluxe rooms, 2 studio suites, 3 executive suites and 1 presidential suite.
During my free time, I was able to roam around the complex and took pictures of the place. There is of course a nice swimming pool which is complimentary for all hotel guests. From the pool, one can appreciate the view of Davao Bay.
Guests can also find time to just hang out in the lobby or have their complimentary breakfast at Cafe Uno. Outside Cafe Uno is Pizzaiolo where you can have pizza or pasta whichever fits your mood. There is of course the Pirata Bar and, Vinta Bar and La Parilla.
The hotel has conference rooms where you can hold business meetings or conferences. You can even spend your wedding reception underneath a huge tent.
Waterfront has all the comforts of a luxurious hotel. It can be a little pricey but if you have money to splurge, then you can opt to choose to stay in Waterfront Hotel in Davao.
The 2 days here are jampacked and I am not sure if I have even time to take a dip in the pool. Nevertheless, it is a wonderful experience staying here in Waterfront. They have courteous staff, very accommodating front desk personnel and even the waiters assigned to our conference room where we are holding our workshop are friendly and alert.
Hopefully I can come back here and just enjoy doing nothing.
