Finalist: Philippine Blog Awards 2011

Once again, this blog has been included as one of the finalists for the Philippine Blog Awards for Visayas 2011. The last time this blog was included as a finalist was in 2009. The Freudian Slip (which is now named as The Freudian Slip Of A Bacolodnon) is listed as a finalist under the Personal Blogs category.

According to their official website, "The Philippine Blog Awards is a yearly event that aims to give recognition to outstandings blogs in but not limited to the Filipino Blogging Community. The Philippine Blog Awards is organized by the Philippine Blogger Awards Inc. a non-stock and non-profit corporation. The 1st Philippine Blog Awards was held March 31, 2007 at the RCBC Theater, RCBC Tower, Makati City with over 200 bloggers and participants attending the awards night. The event was a success because of the volunteers and the support from the Philippine Blogging Community."

For the Visayas group, the announcement and awarding of winners will be on November 12, 2011 at the Senator Jose Locsin Cultural and Civic Center, Silay City, Negros Occidental. Silay City is a very historical city. Dubbed as the "Paris of Negros" during the Spanish Era, Silay city boasts of its many well-preserved Spanish ancestral houses.
