Meet Your PGIs

Since the day I started my PGIship, I really haven't written down anything about my 13 other fellow PGIs rotating in BOLMSH. While for most of them I have known for the past 4 years already, this PGIship period has given me a new perspective about who they are as persons and friends. So here are some fun facts about the Post-graduate Interns of Bacolod Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital for 2006-2007.

1. Of the 14 PGIs, 7 are females and 7 are males.
2. The PGI who comes from the most distant locality is Andylou Mangubat, who hails from Cotabato City, in Mindanao.
3. Three of the PGIs come from Iloilo City, all first timers in the City of Smiles; they are Mark Agana, TinTin Castronuevo and Ken Villan.
4. Two of the PGIs are married already, that includes me (who is happily married to Roann) and Joanne Villanueva, who is married to Melvin (not the Melvin Chico!)
5. All of the PGIs are into steady relationships, except for one, Gerard Espelleta, who remains "single and available".
6. Two of the female PGIs have "boy" names: Gabby Peñacuba and Kenneth Villan. While one of the male PGIs has a "girl" name: Andylou Mangubat.
7. There are two "Marks" among the PGIs: Mark Japitana and Mark Agana.
8. Favourite hangout of the PGIs is the On-Call Room.
9. Among the 14 PGIs, only Radcibel Caram has a doctor for a parent.
10. Of the 14 PGIs, only Melvin Chico took Engineering before taking up medicine. However, he has already earned a degree in Biology prior to his taking up Engineering.
11. Second most favourite hangout is Chamby's.
12. Only Melvin Chico wears false teeth among the PGIs.
13. TinTin Castronuevo was the single witness to an apparition of a "white lady" in the PGIs quarters.
14. The PGIs identified to be the most "toxic" are: ConCon Zarceno, Gabby Peñacuba, Melvin Chico, Andylou Mangubat, Ken Villan, Mark Japitana and Gerard Espelleta (in I.M.)

So who are the PGIs in BOLMSH?
