Hello Bayen! Getting to know that somebody like you has a blogspot that is very uplifting in spirit and the psyche as well! You are the first I think in our tribe to venture out in the Internet so that they know our sad plight. Yes, you are correct when you said that MHOs, RHPs and DTTBs(shall we say COMMUNITY HEALTH PHYSICIANS) are the poorest of the doctors here in the Philippines.Because it takes them gut-wrenching courage, unholy hour sacrifice, firm discipline and unconditional patience to treat patients' illnesses, comfort the dying elderlies, emphatize with a sick child's mother, even giving the last money in your pocket. We are the last bloodline in the noblest profession to make a stand not to seek the greener pastures outside because we think we are more needed here by our constituents in the far-flung areas. And yet we are underpaid. How can you survive with a 300 dollars a month salary if you have a family of three to feed?
